Alan Dell's journalism career spanned more than four decades of sports, politics and investigative reporting. His experiences along the way are what inspired 'The Big Game,' helping Alan weave together a novel that targets how the road to success in politics is often navigated, and particularly the role played by the Italians, Irish and Jews back in the 1960's of his native hometown in Maplewood, New Jersey.
